In 1962, Mr. B. W. Williams of Jackson, Tennessee moved to Savannah and opened an accounting firm on Main Street. Providing accounting, audit, and tax services, Mr. Williams’ firm quickly became synonymous with integrity, quality, and customer service – qualities we strive to continue today.
In the late eighties, Mark Godwin, a recent college graduate was hired by Mr. B.W. into the firm and began working as an auditor. In 1988, Mr. Williams retired and sold the firm to Chris Jerrolds. When Chris Jerrolds left Williams and Jerrolds, PLLC, to accept a position as a local bank president, Mark became the managing partner and established the firm further as an audit practice. The firm continued to grow as auditing and tax engagements were added. In 2011, Mark Godwin continued the firm tradition as Williams, Jerrolds, Godwin & Associates, PLLC by admitting Mitzi Dickey, Bethany Godwin, and Stephanie Godwin as partners. Some of our current clients have been with the firm since the 1970′s when Mr. B. W. Williams operated the firm. We have also gratefully welcomed many new clients as audit, tax, and accounting engagements and offer a tradition of quality service from qualified professionals.
